Size guide

• a well-fitting bit can be used as a reference for choosing the correct size
• alternatively, measure the mouth width: Place a bit gauge or soft string in the intended position in the mouth
• mark the ends and measure the distance
• the bit width should be selected so that the rings lie just outside or slightly beyond the corners of the mouth
• if the bit is too tight, pressure is created; if the bit is too wide, it can shift sideways
• for bits with freely moving rings, there should be approximately 1 cm of clearance on one side
• this allows the rings to rotate freely without pinching the lips
