Trust Sweet Iron Baby Pelham Locked

The Trust Baby Pelham Locked is a combination of pelham sides and a single broken mouthpiece which locks when strong pressure is applied to the reins, thus becoming a straight bar. When less pressure is applied to the reins, the bit changes back to a single broken mouthpiece. These features make the bit ideal for horses that go against the hand. The special Sweet Iron alloy of the bit ensures high acceptance, as it tastes sweet to horses. In addition, the chewing activity is stimulated in a natural white way, so that the jaws can relax more. The shanks of the Pelham are relatively short at 4.0 cm, which results in a low leverage effect. The pelham can be used with one or two reins, but pelham straps are necessary when used with only one rein. These straps are not included and must be purchased separately.

Note: When not in use, a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
