Beris Tandem US with Tongue Port Snaffle

The Tandem US is similar to the normal tandem in all points, but is characterised by its simpler black strap, which rests on the most sensitive nasal bone. By accepting the rein, pressure is exerted on the nasal bone, the lower jaw, as well as on the neck. A slight pulling effect, i.e. the tilting and lifting of the bit, results when the rein pressure is increased, which is why this bit only belongs in an experienced and sensitive rider's hand. The special feature of this bit is the 30mm high, flattened tongue arch, which not only distributes the pressure optimally over the drawers and the tongue, but also allows the tongue sufficient freedom of movement. An additional advantage of the high arch of the tongue is for so-called "tongue players", this type of horse tends to push its tongue over the bit, which is effectively prevented by the arch of the tongue. The special Beris synthetic material is highly accepted, which many horses react to with improved looseness, increased chewing activity and the associated increased saliva production. The "Tandem" is suitable for horses that are too sensitive for a pure bit effect, but which cannot be ridden with a Hackamore alone.
