Product description
Ludgers Cool Down Powder
- to support nervous strength, calmness and composure
- there are many stress factors for horses: Weaning, breaking in, changing stables, herd integration, different training arenas, riding out or transport
- horses usually show stress through behavioural disorders, frustration or increased anxiety
- in such situations, the need for essential nutrients (especially magnesium and tryptophan) is increased
- it is similar with naturally nervous or anxious horses
- Ludgers Cool Down Powder effectively balances this increased need for nutrients due to stress and thus brings the horse's organism back into balance
- can cover feed-related deficiencies in magnesium and tryptophan
- can have a positive effect on the horse's well-being, performance and nerve strength through the combination with valerian and passionflower, which are used in herbal medicine to treat nervousness, anxiety and restlessness
Note: A withdrawal period of 72 hours must be observed.

Nutritional findings on the ingredients
- Valerian: The root extracts of real valerian(Valeriana officinalis) help to combat nervous restlessness and have a generally relaxing effect. The effect is based on an increased release and reduced reuptake of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA(gamma-aminobutyric acid). GABA is the most important calming neurotransmitter in the central nervous system and can have a positive effect on performance and well-being. GABA is a natural anti-stress agent and is one of the best natural remedies for mental relaxation.
- Passionflower: Passiflora has an antispasmodic, calming and antihypertensive effect. It is used in herbal medicine as a natural remedy for nervousness, anxiety, restlessness and similar complaints.
- Thryptophan: Tryptophan cannot be produced by the horse itself. As an essential amino acid, it must therefore be ingested through food. Tryptophan is converted into the body's own neurotransmitter serotonin (‘happiness hormone’). Serotonin influences the horse's state of mind in a positive way (anxiety, aggression, depression).
- Magnesium: Magnesium is an essential mineral and must be ingested daily with food. Magnesium plays a decisive role in the activation of numerous enzymes, the formation of nucleic acids and the energy metabolism of cells. Of particular importance for a relaxed horse is the stabilising effect of excitation conduction between nerves and muscle cells. As a natural antagonist of calcium, it relaxes the muscles. Relaxed and supple muscles are the basic prerequisite for a rideable and permeable horse.
- Vitamin C: As a cofactor in the conversion of dopamine into adrenaline and noradrenaline, vitamin C plays an important role in the signalling pathways of neurotransmitters in the brain, which influence motor skills, behaviour and mood.
