Trust D-Ring Waterford

The Sweet Iron D-Ring Waterford by Trust is especially suitable for young horses and those that need support in stance and bend. The special shape of the bit rings makes it very difficult to pull the bit through the horse's mouth. The side pieces give light pressure against the cheeks of the horse, so it is supported in the position and bending. The D-Ring Waterford lies particularly quietly and stably in the horse's mouth, creating a trusting connection between rider and horse. The Waterford mouthpiece consists of a series of rounded links and creates an even pressure. The free movement of the mouthpiece makes it very difficult for the horse to lie on the bit. The blue color is a special coating that reacts with moisture to form surface rust. This tastes sweet to horses and stimulates saliva production. Thus, the horses accept the bit very well and the jaw muscles can relax. One thing to note about the Waterford is that with a soft hand it is a gentle mouthpiece, but with a strong hand it becomes a very sharp bit.

Note: When not in use a thin layer of orange-brown rust will develop on the mouthpiece, this can be removed with a damp cloth and is not a quality defect!
