Cavalor OilMega Supplementary Feed

Cavalor's OilMega supplement is a combination of vegetable oils such as virgin linseed oil, soybean oil and flaxseed oil. These oils provide an ideal ratio between the essential fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6, which have a positive effect on the immune system and the general health of the horse. If the ratio between these two fatty acids is balanced, the horse can develop sufficient omega-9 fatty acids on its own. If these fatty acids are not in a balanced ratio, it can lead to inflammation, dull coat, low resistance or even reduced fertility. Various oils give the horse a shiny coat and more energy. A high-fat diet for the horse helps it perform better in sports. The horse's muscles can better utilize energy from fat rather than carbohydrates without producing a large amount of lactate. This has a beneficial effect on the horse's energy supply and behavior, especially in endurance or restless horses. At the same time, a high-fat diet increases the need for vitamin E, which is needed to counteract oxidation of fatty acids and prolong their action. Therefore, additional vitamin E is added directly to the feed to prevent deficiency. In addition, OilMega supplementary feed contains a natural antibiotic from special fatty acids (medium-chain fatty acids C6 - C12 from tropical plants), which has positive effects on the intestinal flora and an anti-aging effect on the cells. As a result, the horse's immune system is supported and it requires less energy to defend itself against infections.

Feeding recommendation

Dosage per horse per day

• maximum per horse and per day: 500 ml
• the feed supplement should be added to the feed ration gradually, because if the dosage is too high, it is absorbed too quickly and can lead to digestive problems (flatulence, gas production, unwillingness to eat, watery stools)
• Tip: If Cavalor OilMega is added to the feed ration in winter, it helps the horse during the coat change and gives additional shine
